Animal Art Exhibition – ‘Hand Printed’

fun animal art exhibition by Lucy Gell

First of all I would like to say a very big thank you to Lauren and Chris at ‘On The Bridge‘ cafe for allowing me to use their lovely space to both exhibit my work in their upstairs front room for the whole of September as well as exhibit my work in their window for the two weeks of the New Mills Festival and for allowing me to host a special ‘Meet The Artist‘ event in their cafe on the evening of 28th September as the festival draws to a conclusion. I would love to meet as many of you as possible that evening if you like my work. More about that later.

If you are reading this in the cafe because of a link you have found near my work then you already know what a lovely friendly and relaxing space it is and how good the food and drinks are but if you are elsewhere and haven’t yet sampled the delights I strongly recommend doing so while you can enjoy my fun animal art exhibition at the same time. The cafe is open Wednesday until Sunday 10am – 4pm.

The Art Exhibition

During the month of September some of my best selling work will be hanging on the walls of the front upstairs room of the cafe. People say they cannot help but smile when they look at my work but think how much more you might enjoy it with a delicious coffee and light meal or slice of cake while you chat with a friend or familiy member?

The following framed pieces of work are being exhibited in the front upstairs room of the cafe. You can click any of the links below to view more information about each piece on my website including what inspired it, size, how I created the piece, price and much more. If you are interested in purchasing any of the framed work on display please contact me.

Meet The Artist Event

Obviously I will not be at the cafe every day, however, if you enjoy the work you see there, would like to meet me and maybe see some more of my work, I will be holding a ‘meet the artist’ event in the cafe between 6pm and 8pm on Saturday 28th September.

It is very informal. Just pop in and have a browse and maybe have a chat any time during that period. Many customers I meet for the first time don’t understand what printmaking is or how it differs to a painting or drawing. I would love to explain it to you if you are interested? I will be bringing along a large selection of other original animal prints as well as some fun animal art greeting cards and my popular animal lapel pin badges. There is no obligation to purchase anything but I will have lots of work for all budgets to take away immediately. There might even be a glass of wine too!
