Printmaking Workshops

As a professional printmaker I run many types of printmaking workshops. I run group printmaking workshops (up to 6-8 people), individual printmaking classes (1 to 2 people) and very special printmaking art retreat holidays. Group workshops usually take place in Derbyshire, Yorkshire and Cheshire within easy reach of Manchester, Stockport, Leeds and Sheffield.

I can arrange printmaking workshops in schools and colleges as well as private group printmaking throughout Derbyshire, Yorkshire and Cheshire. These can be arranged at a date, time and venue to suit you. You don’t need to worry about equipment and materials – I can bring everything with me.

All Ability Printmaking Workshops

Workshops are aimed at all abilities from complete beginner to people who have been printmaking for some time but simply want to learn or refine a new technique. I am able to teach techniques such as lino printing, dry point etching, monoprinting and screen printing in any of my workshops.

“We spent a wonderful afternoon preparing lino cut prints and my 10 year old daughter had time to do a dry point etching and a extra “Speedy carve” print. The pace was steady and as we are complete novices, allowed for us to ask lots of questions. Lucy is very patient and made it a really enjoyable experience. I’d recommend this to anyone with just the slightest amount of artist skill up to those with more experience who want to try another skill”.

Mary, Josie & Eve 1-1 Drypoint and Lino Printmaking Workshop Feb 2020

“The printmaking workshop was really informative. Lucy helped me to try different techniques and explained how to use colour. I felt really relaxed and confident because of her knowledge and support. I was thrilled with my outcomes”

Vaughan – 1-1 workshop July 2021

“The printmaking workshop showed me that etching had much more potential than I imagined. She showed me how you could add depth and shading to a print which is something I never thought you could do. The workshop felt very homey and she kept offering us drinks which shows how welcoming she is. Although we were doing different things we both felt very included and like we had her attention. We both enjoyed it very much. I wish the session was longer and I look forward to the next one”

Joe- 1-1 Workshop July 2021

“Lucy is an expert and friendly teacher. I learnt so much on my first ever linocut course with thanks to Lucy. Such fun and lovely company on the day. A BIG THANK YOU from me!”

Kirsten – Linocut workshop Nov 2022

“It has been a fabulous day. I wondered whether I would be up for the challenge, but Lucy guided me through the process and helped with the colour separation. Thank you for a wonderful day creating”
