‘Podencos’ Dog Print

This original handprinted screen print of two Podencos is inspired by my own two gorgeous hounds Guapa and Kenia. They both originally came from the Canary Islands. I adopted them from two different charities that dedicate their lives to rescuing these beautiful dogs. Guapa was delivered to my door by Hope For Podencos, a wonderful rescue shelter in Spain where I have actually been out to volunteer. Kenia was collected from South Wales where she had been adopted there after being rescued from Spain awaiting a new permanent home in the UK.

The print is created using five different colours. Guapa has beautiful delicate orange freckles all over the white areas of her coat and I have illustrated these in the screen print. Kenia is a stunning red Podenco Canario and she adores Guapa. The prints are available both framed and unframed and will bring a smile to any room.
