‘Standing Bear’ Black Bear Print

This black bear print was the first one I designed in the tryptic of black bear screen prints. During the filming of ‘The Bear Family and Me’ the bears lived in the forests of Minnesota surrounded by silver birch trees. I wanted to include these beautiful trees in my image and in all three screen prints the silver birch trees are featured in their winter form, simple silver birch with the absence of leaves. I have included a blackbird in each print that creates a narrative for each image. Part of my bear art prints collection.
