Love Print

This hand printed linocut features a owl and a pussy cat and if the image was printed in colour, possibly a pee green boat! The cheeky cat is encouraging his feathered friend to sail the seas on a sailing boat made for two. Each part of the image is printed by hand including the text which I have made into a stamp. Writing the text is often my favourite part of this creative process. This original art print which is part of my Love Gifts and Valentine Gifts collections. I created this A5 hand printed linocut print for a wonderful initiative organised by @johnapedder on Instagram in January 2021. I created 20 prints which were given away all over the world to individuals who in return would make a donation to a charity of their choice. The idea is that printmakers and artists create a postcard size image to give away and it is known as the #oneofmanypostcard. The print is now available for anybody else who would like to sail away! A popular Valentines Day gift that can be given throughout the year too.
