Printmaking in Portugal autumn 2024. Join me for a very special experience on my Printmaking In Portugal Holiday. An art and craft holiday in a truly remote lake location in the hills above Faro in Portugal. I have run this holiday multiple times now and in 2024 it will be running in both the spring and the autumn. In the autumn holiday you will see an abundance of bees and butterflies, warm days and benefit from the warm water of the lake after a hot summer. The most glorious, fun, creative week in the most beautiful setting. Your tuition and help was fantastic and I have thoroughly enjoyed myself. Will definitely be doing another when I have saved up! Frank, Daniela and the team are amazing. The food has been gorgeous, tasty and varied, I genuinely don’t think I’ve eaten so well on a holiday. I definitely need the recipe for the potato salad from the lunch buffet 🙂
The setting for the Quinta lives up to the Paradise in Portugal name. Its a lovely place to relax and forget the busy world. The rooms are simple but comfortable with excellent views from the terrace in front. Excellent book reading spots all around for your downtime.

I have had a wonderful week in these beautiful surroundings and despite arriving here in a ‘bit of a state’, having managed, due in a large part to your kindness and support, to enjoy it. I do appreciate that you have worked so hard with all of us, but found time to encourage me to relax and enjoy the printmaking which I managed to do. It has been so much more than a distraction (from what has been going on at home) – it has enabled me to rekindle my interest in printmaking and have the courage also to put pencil to paper again and start drawing.
The whole week has been amazing and very nurturing – the surroundings and lovely food are part of the experience too. Also the bird watching walk is a great way to get a feel of the area and lots of inspiration for printmaking. Your expertise and the calm and gentle way you encourage us to develop our work is brilliant. You inspire confidence and enjoyment in our work, and are very re-assuring, even when the work doesn’t seem to go as planned! It has been a joy to work with you and your enthusiasm is infectious! The whole experience has been a pleasure from beginning to end, and is very well planned and thought out even down to a trip to the pottery. The extras such as the yoga and sound bath experience worked really well and helped us all enjoy each others company.

The holiday has been brilliant all the way through. The accommodation is lovely, comfortable and homely, lots of tasty healthy food in beautiful surroundings. Lucy is an excellent tutor and I’ve learnt so much and enjoyed every minute of the printmaking. The extras – yoga, walk, pottery trip and sound bath were all great too, the sound bath was an amazing experience in the beautiful yurt. All in all a holiday I will remember and tell all my friends and family about.
