Join me for 12 hours screen print printmaking over 2 days on my Screen Printing Workshop at West Yorkshire Print Workshop. My screen printing courses will teach you a full hands on approach to screen printing without the use of a computer. All abilities are welcome and all materials are provided. We will use various types of mark marking and a range of materials. Over the course of the 2 days you’ll explore textural and linear approaches to image making, working to develop a two colour transparency/ positive from which to print.
During the screen printing workshop I will support you through the process of exposing your analogue image onto silk-screen (a photographic process using UV sensitive emulsion), translating your hand produced artwork into a stencil ready to print. I will teach you how to mix colour and use specialist equipment to create a lovely bundle of two colour, A4, paper screen-prints to take home with you.
It would be advisable to have an image in mind before attending the workshop, however there will be opportunity to develop your design during the first day.
