Black Bear Card

This black bear card features a standing black bear listening to a blackbird singing (or perhaps talking?). The greeting card is left blank inside so that it can be used for a birthday or any occasion. This image was the first one I designed in the tryptic of black bear screen prints. It was inspired by the filming of 'The Bear Family and Me'. In this series the bears lived in the forests of Minnesota surrounded by silver birch trees. I wanted to include these beautiful trees in my image and in all three screen prints the silver birch trees are featured in their winter form, simple silver birch with the absence of leaves.
