Pandemic Art Print

This original hand printed screen print features 3 ships in a bottle in a turbulent storm watched by 2 seagulls. This hand printed 6 colour screen print has been created to illustrate the difficult times we have all found ourselves in during the years of 2020-2021 in the global covid 19 pandemic. Many of us were living our lives in different boats but unfortunately in the same storm. This difficult time created a feeling of isolation for many people often what is experienced by sailors out at sea. I'm sure if we could have put this global problem in a bottle, we would have. I was definitely using my creativity during this time to keep my mind focused on positivity.

10% of each sale of this print will be donated to The Oasis Centre in Gorton, Manchester - a charity dedicated to helping local families in need including families on benefits, long term unemployed, asylum seekers and refugees, homeless people, ex-offenders and those struggling with drug or alcohol addictions and mental health issues. I would like to take this opportunity to help this charity during this difficult time.

This print is part of my bird art prints, other prints and gifts for bird lovers collections. Most of my work is designed to bring a smile. Maybe this one does, maybe it doesn't but it was designed more as a pause for thought and a little reflection.
